SPK Series platforms provide an efficient way of assembling multiple SK Series modular instruments. In order to control these instruments from a remote PC, the platforms include an interfaces controller to connect the host PC via USB or optical interfaces.

Signals & Systems for Physics supplies optical cables in 2 lengths, 3m or 10m. These cables are simply plugged into the SK810 module on the platform side, while an USB-to-optical bridge is required on the host side. The SM301 Communications Bridge can be used for this purpose as it is able to convert a USB data stream into a pair of RX and TX signals that are sent to the platform via the optical cable.
